"Politics of Hair" section of the Cornrows & Co. website to see the long string of so-called giants who have fallen in her wake. We are so fortunate to have her join our co-hosts, Cassandra Lawson and Dr. JoAnne Cornwell on this podcast. Listen, learn and be inspired!

In this conversation, Dr.C refers to "our court case." You can read about this Federal Court victory that set an important precedent for hair freedom throughout the country. CLICK HERE and then scroll down to the section titled, "Natural Hair and the Law."

Check out Pamela Ferrell's TEDx talk on YouTube.

Ms. Ferrell refers to the public interest law firm, the Institute for Justice, and their website (ij.org). Wow, I like how she took a different approach to win the long standing battle with my military sisters and our hair. Long over due and job well done!

Sincerely,
Sergeant Major (Retried) Elizabeth Lawrence

A great victory for the rights to freedom from bondage over our hair and yet the fight to total freedom for our rights over our own hair and how we choose to wear it naturally in today's society and not be frowned upon is still yet to come. We as African american women has had many struggles, trial, and triumphs, But like the civil rights leader Martin Luther King once said and I quote "We Shall Over Come".
